McCain needed a game-changing debate. It's not just that he hasn't had that. It's that Obama has owned him like he didn't in those two previous debates -- both of which Obama roundly won.
For some reason on education McCain decides to talk policy. He's still not doing as well at it as Obama did, but his momentary turn from personal attack and cheapening of the election itself is startling.
